At the advanced level, students are asked to write a meticulously structured thesis. This thesis, prepared under the direction of a Language professor, must include 3000 words and treat a subject that has a relationship to France and the French today, in areas as varied as politics, society, the economy, literature, the arts, leisure activities, sports, education . . . The defense of the thesis takes place in front of a 2 member jury at the end of the semester.
